Help LIVEbeyond grow the bone marrow registry with a monetary contribution. The total cost to add a new member to the Be The Match Registry is approximately $100, which involves the cost of HLA testing, and administration costs in adding information to the secure national database.

The swabs collected at a bone marrow drive are sent to Be The Match's laboratory in Minneapolis, Minnesota where the HLA typing is performed. This typing is used to match donors to searching patients.  

To date, Be The Match has generously covered the costs of adding potential donors to the registry that LIVEbeyond recruits, but its ability to continue this aid is uncertain.   LIVEbeyond strives to cover half of the cost for those  it recruits. Your contribution will also help LIVEbeyond spread its message through various outreach programs. LIVEbeyond has applied to become a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization so your contribution is expected be tax deductible in 2012.
